Vladimir Bobovitch was born on October 24, 1920, in Simferopol, Crimea (Russia at the time and maybe once again?) He emigrated to the US with his parents in 1929; they settled in Brooklyn. His father, Samuel, was an "art painter." He was a student at Pratt Institute in NY (from where many GA veterans were recruited). All members of the family were naturalized citizens by the time of the 1940 census.
After the war he became an architect in NYC (he can be found in the NY city directories as an architect in 1953, 1956, and 1970). He was a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) starting in 1950.
The only professional thing I could find was that he wrote a letter to the editor of the New York Times, published on July 31, 1955, defending LeCorbusier.
He died in Santa Barbara, California on July 14, 2011, and was buried there. He was clearly living there—real estate records show that he owned a home. Interestingly enough, his parents, who died in 1964 and 1974 respectively, are also buried in Santa Barbara.
