Additional Information: Mactarian served during WWII as SGT with the 337th Engineers, part of the Fifth Army. He covered many operations as a war artist/correspondent. He exhibited at a number of museums and galleries around the US, including the Los Angeles Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Pennsylvania Academy, and the American Contemporary Artists (ACA) Gallery of NY. Died in 1955.
